A Marketing Strategy That Small Businesses Should Use

Marketing is the most important strategy that businesses put in place to make sure they meet their revenue targets. However, in this hour of fierce competition conventional marketing methods alone could cost the businesses a whooping amount. In such a scenario, there seems to be little scope for small businesses and start ups. With the unfair game of expensive marketing plans their dream of becoming a brand may remain a dream, unless they take course to a new and equally effective way of promoting their services. Affordable Search Engine Optimization services do just that for you.

Been in the market for long, it is surprising that small time companies haven't made most of the highly revenue generating marketing strategy. Sure, SEO could be a slow process but it delivers effects that are most long-lasting as compared to any of the online marketing methods. Read on to know why SEO seems to be the perfect marketing act for your business -

Affordable & High Revenue Generating -

Hiring affordable search engine optimization services gives you an effective promotional strategy at the most reasonably priced cost. As compared to the other online marketing techniques SEO is the most pocket friendly strategy that start ups can approach. SEO professionals analyze your site for loop holes and work on making it search engine and user friendly. Once the site begins to rank for the set of keywords targeted by you, you can be sure to get a good amount of traffic and boost in your ROI.

Organic Search -

SEO focuses all its efforts to get your site to rank well in the organic search list of the search engines. This list is more trusted by the users as it comes across as a recommendation from the SE for the query entered by the user. Since users have high regards for the search engine, they naturally tend to trust the sites listed in the organic search that is the non-paid section. So, ranking high on the organic search list is extremely beneficial to your business. SEO aims to do just that.

Slow but Long-lasting -

Professionals offering affordable search engine optimization services apply a slow and steady strategy to develop credits for your site on the search engine. The process basically follows a process of building back links for your site, making your site search engine and customer friendly, updating the content of your site for the users and the search engine and ensuring a keyword rich content on your site. This process will update the rank of your site on the search engine little by little but will ensure you reach the first page and last there for long. Also with the implementation of the right strategy you can ensure that the rank of your site is constantly maintained, even upgraded.

Trackable -
Conventional marketing maybe all glamorous but it has a major drawback. Its effectiveness cannot be measured. Unlike the traditional marketing strategies you can easily measure the results of an SEO strategy. The internet is transparent. Whatever strategies you apply on the internet and the results they produce can be easily tracked by the professionals. This ability of tracking your online campaign makes it easy for you to make changes as required to get the desired results.

The above mentioned are just a few benefits that small time businesses can get from affordable Search Engine Optimization services. SEO places you high on the most frequented market place in the world and a well implemented strategy could increase your ROI drastically.

Why Cost Per Acquisition Strategies Are Better Than Pay Per Click

Cost per acquisition is one of several different strategies on the market for Internet advertising. However, from the perspective of the business, cost per acquisition or CPA is a great strategy because you only pay when you get what you want; visitors that become customers and actually buy your product. However, this is a little more difficult from the perspective of the advertiser that hopes to get paid, which is where ideas like attribution modeling and retargeting companies come into the mix, making sure that your product is as well received and purchased as often as possible when it comes down to brass tacks.

Attribution modeling is a strategy that solves what's called the "last click" problem. The "last click" difficulty is that when a purchase is made, only the most recent click on a banner ad gets the credit. Which is fine if someone just sees a banner, clicks that banner and then makes a purchase. However, if someone sees a banner, then goes to Google or Yahoo and searches for the company described in that banner then they won't earn the credit and that generates bad information. This form of modeling shares credit equally, making sure that all parts of the advertising process are compensated equally when multiple banners or ads have a hand in making a sale.

Retargeting companies are firms that specialize in getting your website's or company's ads placed in certain locations on destination websites, making sure that your ad space is visible and attractive, placed where it is most likely to pull customers and readers back to your initial website. These companies also ensure that your links are connected, building a strong and simple to trace chain so that you know who is responsible for certain advertising credit and so that you're sure to whom the credit goes once you've confirmed a sale.

And what makes all of this easier than pay per click advertising? Well, when you use pay per click there's no guarantee that the click that you register is the one that's responsible for a given purchase. In fact there's no guarantee that the click was for a purchase at all! While it is important that your ads get clicked, and your advertisement professionals should work with that goal in mind, you need to make sales and paying for people to look at ads won't get you that. Cost per acquisition solves all these issues.

Work Smart and Become a Millionaire

Millionaire. I bet in a million years you never thought it was possible for you to define yourself in such a way. Not only is it possible, but it is well within your reach. However, to become a millionaire you have to learn how to "work smart." Working smart is not about getting rich quick without doing any work. The reality of it is that you can get rich and it can happen faster than you might think, but it usually won't happen overnight. It is not my intention to fill your head with dreams of money falling from the sky or some crazy lottery scheme to make you rich tomorrow. Becoming a Millionaire is not a walk in the park; you'll have to work for it. But, the work can actually be fun and will be insignificant compared to the reward. Whether you heed my advice and make it rich or you continue on the same boring path you are on now, you will need to put in work. The way I see it, why not pay the price for Success rather than pay the price for Mediocrity.

What you won't be doing is trading hours for dollars and working yourself to death. That is completely against the "working smart" philosophy. What you SHOULD do is set up a business that generates income even while you're not working in your business! Rather than working "in" your business, you need to learn to work "on" your business so that eventually YOU can be taken out of the equation all together and continue to make an income. Don't get me wrong, it should not be as if you are absent from your business. You just need to create a company that is dependent on a solid business system more than it is physically dependent on YOU. You should still be active on a daily basis through the phone and internet; however, because there is no part of the company that will require you to put hours "into" the business, you will have the FREEDOM to do as you wish. You need to spend the majority of your time setting up joint ventures, communicating with partner companies and top affiliates, inventing new business ideas that will grow your business, and strategizing on new and creative marking initiatives.

By learning to work "on" your business you will have more time to do things that you love to do, things you can do anywhere in the world. The philosophy of "working smart" comes down to one word- choice. Here are a few benefits of the "working smart" business strategy:

·Freeing yourself from working in an office from 9 to 5

·Having money to spend on your children, family, and yourself

·Taking weeks at a time off for vacation and still earn an income

·Freedom to live where you want

·Make a residual income that keeps earning you cash even if you stop working completely

Take back control and ownership of your life. What separates a "smart" millionaire from everyone else is time and money. For most people, a job gives them money and that's about it. In exchange for money, people give up the best part of their day, 5 days a week. Now let me ask you something. How much is your time worth? Your job keeps you from doing what you want to do and prevents you from enjoying the moments you will never get back. The biggest drawback of any job is that it robs you of your most precious asset- your time. Think about it this way.

40 hrs per week x 50 weeks per year x 40 years of your life = 80,000 hours
1 hr/day commuting x 5 days/week x 50 weeks/year x 40 yrs of your life = 10,000 hours
90,000 hours spent working and commuting / 5,840 hours in a year = Over 15 years of your life wasted!

What can you do with an extra 15 years of your life?

It should be clear to you at this point that in order to work smart you need to start your own business. How many millionaires do you know that work for someone else? However, becoming your own boss isn't the answer if you don't plan correctly. Most people end up trading a job that takes away their time, with a business that takes away even more of their time. You want to avoid brick and mortar businesses. These are the traditional businesses that you typically think of, the ones that eat up your time and money. With any brick and mortar business you first need to spend money setting it up with things like buying inventory, leasing a building, buying equipment and hiring employees. Now after spending money to set it up you have to spend the time to run it. Congratulations, you just traded a typical 9 to 5 job for a 10 to 14 hour job instead. Even worse, now you are trapped in a specific niche in a specific location. In order to become a "working smart" millionaire you need to open your mind to the opportunities offered through the internet. Here you have access to over a billion potential customers! You can check out my website below where I offer you access to the BEST internet success program currently available.

Let me leave you with this. Once you have developed a solid foundation on wealth building, you will not only be able to keep your wealth, you'll be able to do it again and again. You could drop me off in any major English speaking city in the world, take away all my contacts and money, require me to pick a completely different industry then the one I'm in now, and I am 100% confident that within a few months I will become profitable again. Creating a solid foundation defines the core of your entire career. The most important thing to remember is that true wealth is not counted by the number of zeros in your bank account, but in the quality of your relationships and memories. In order for you to achieve this wealth you will need to take my advice and start a career that affords you both the time and money to do so.

"If you took the entire world's wealth and divided it equally among everyone, within 10 years those who were previously wealthy would again be wealthy. Those who were previously poor would again be poor."- Otto von Bismarck

Affiliate Business Story - How I Am Slowly Learning To Make Sales From My Websites

This story is designed as much as a reminder to myself of the paths that I explored on the way to finding a modicum of success in developing successful Internet businesses as it is a useful ( I hope) guide to others about to start.

Firstly I must explain what it is not: It is not a definitive and comprehensive explanation of how to succeed with an Internet based business. I too am still learning how to succeed in this tricky business. There are many ways that this may be accomplished- most of which I either do not understand or which I do not know about. I am not an expert or GURU as some like to call themselves. I cannot guarantee that my preferred practices will make you a millionaire simply because they have not made me one either ( yet)!

What little knowledge I do offer here I hope might inspire others in a positive way for that is one aim of this story. If it all comes over as terribly naive or worse incorrect then I apologize now, unreservedly. I am not going to pretend I have all the answers nor am I going to steal ideas from other peoples E books or blogs to try to convince you that I do. No. I am about to give you my actual experience, right or wrong, good or bad, regarding how I have set up my own moderately profitable Internet business.

BACKGROUND: why set up a business?

Most of my working life I have spent in education as a teacher. I went into the profession for all the right reasons and for over 25 years I believe I have done my level best to inspire others with the knowledge and skills that I acquired myself. A vocational approach to work that has proved to be mainly wonderful, often challenging, sometimes frustrating but never financially rewarding. A good wage for an honest days work but not much more. Please do not misunderstand me.

Teaching others can be the most rewarding thing you can do and when appreciation is shown for your efforts whether by pupil, parent or colleague it can be uplifting. Financially however it has its limits just as most people find in any job working for others. However we live in a day and age where many do very little for huge returns and others like myself a lot more for a lot less. I am in fact not bitter or resentful about that as I balance in my mind the fact that I have the satisfaction of knowing that I am doing something good to help others. However I decided to look at ways to supplement my earnings in alternative ways that I could be equally proud of.

SUPPLEMENTARY INCOME : different strategies.

Whilst maintaining my day job I looked into a variety of outlets to bolster my income. I considered all sorts of options from the sublime to the ridiculous. From opening real and virtual shops, to private tuition, to dog walking, to babysitting, to more ambitious projects that would have required large investments, professional advice and support and a lot of luck.

I was not prepared however to gamble with my life or more accurately my family's expected standard of living by doing this nor for the simpler options was I prepared to give up too much precious time in order to generate more money. Despite this my initial thoughts led me to assessing skills and knowledge that I already possessed. I am interested in the arts, photography, sports, fishing etc. Nothing unique there but I did go as far as to develop fairly advanced business ideas involving pro designed letter headings, logos and other materials for a) a photography business and b) a graphic design business and had completed fairly extensive market research to ensure that they could be successful.

All of this had taken a lot of time. It then dawned on me that it was this very TIME factor that mattered the most - not the acquisition of huge sums of money and I reigned in those business plans and finally scrapped them entirely. What I wanted was a supplementary income from a scheme or plan that was neither time consuming to run or difficult to maintain. A simple, consistent way to add to my earnings that would allow me to enjoy my leisure time more and allow me perhaps to retire earlier. To achieve a better balance between work and play with the prospect of having enough money in the bank to enable an improved standard of living. After all it is how we use our leisure time that defines most of us as personalities. Our ability to interact with friends, family, neighbors is all reliant upon having sufficient resources but particularly in having the freedom to do it.

Most people reading this are like me in that they want to work. Without work we become lazy, lacking in purpose and develop self serving attitudes. However we often feel that we are worth more than we actually get. Generally speaking this is a situation you cannot resolve easily or without a large slice of luck. I do not believe that I am going to get that big win on the lottery and with this in mind I became even more determined to find another channel for an additional income.

INTERNET MARKETING: the solution?

My first experience of the weird and wonderful world of Internet marketing left me full of cynicism. I had during my research for money making opportunities come across thousands of schemes that offered the solution, the answer to my prayers. It was obvious that most of these just had to be scams. I always thought that if they were making so much money themselves then why were they hassling me. And for most of them I would be right to have made that assumption.

On further investigation however I came to a different conclusion for for a few of these schemes. If a well thought out business plan actively relied on my slice of their business to survive then it might just be worth investigating further. Was there a company out there that needed new 'investors'... not necessarily of the monetary kind but who needed your support to enhance there own business?

After a lot of investigation I discovered that there are indeed groups of people out there who positively needed others to support their ideas in order to generate yet more wealth for themselves. That is the role the affiliate marketeer has to play. By attaching oneself to a product or service, promoting it on behalf of others through advertising and other methods and gaining commission from others buying it seemed like a pretty good idea. As long as the products had some integrity so that you actually believed in them and as long as you can get them viewed by a wide enough audience then here was the opportunity that I was looking for. A simple money making scheme that required little of my free time to setup and which would develop over time as it established itself. Money for nothing. Or so it seemed!

INITIAL MARKETING PLOYS: mainly failures

I am pretty sure that there are thousands out there who arrived at this point full of confidence and expectation. They had done their research, selected an affiliate group and set out to develop a website fully expecting the money to fall into their laps from the skies. I was certainly one of them and I was to be disappointed just as many others would have been. My first website was ill focused. It was plastered with affiliate links, eBay links and had its own virtual shop but it had no clear theme and certainly no style. In short it was simply not believable or interesting enough to hold the attention of the visitor. This coupled with my failure to market it well and my inability to be able to edit it without having to contact the hosting company meant that I had few purchases recorded.

Whilst I later mastered AdWords and AdSense enough to illicit a healthy cost per click ratio my conversion rate remained poor and that was the fault of the home page which lacked cohesion and believability. Visitors left as fast as they arrived. My reaction to this was not good. I panicked, blamed the wrong things and almost gave up entirely.

I decided when I finally came to my senses to research marketing techniques more thoroughly and most importantly to sort out the content and the layout on my next venture with more care in order to promote a longer stay for the average visitor.

FOCUSED MARKETING : higher success rate.

Focused marketing employing a range of techniques was something I had not fully realized the potential of. Building traffic, I presume, is the ultimate goal of the Internet sales businessman no matter what some may say. If only a few people visit your site sales will obviously be affected. A simple Google search on the term marketing will return millions of opinions, solutions and scams. If you have the money you can pay an S.E.O. specialist to increase traffic through improving your position in the search ranks. You can develop ( if you can ) a killer advert in AdWords combined with low cost popular keywords ( again if you can) which will drive traffic to your site. I was never entirely successful at this I admit and it cost me more in ads than it created in sales. But they did generate interest.

What worked best for me was a combination of using other pay per click companies ( for higher, cheaper click rates), exchanging links with high traffic sites, submitting articles such as this one to Ezine publishers and emailing subscribers with new offers. Yes this took some time to set up but most of it is now automated so I have not lost site of my initial goals to protect my free time AND more importantly sales have improved.

Whilst a more focused approach to marketing is important my main aim with websites now is to build up the content and to update that content regularly.

CONTENT: the real ace in the pack.

One of my most important realizations came when I read some of the articles written by Steve Pavlina (with whom I have no connection). His site has no gimmicks or pyrotechnics to hold the viewer ( and no products either ! ). He has just one thing - really well written and interesting articles that he adds to on a regular basis. I chose to use this approach as my model for the future as I build up my own sites. Without feature rich content that is written in a personal way and which offers sensible ideas and solutions to a variety of problems connected to the products on sale is the real secret in my opinion to successful Internet sales. Pavlina's articles can be quite awe inspiring in their ability to make you consider your own development on so many different levels. I say this in the full knowledge that my own sites do not yet have anywhere near enough of it but I do know that is the right thing to do and I fully intend to expand this element wherever I can to generate the maximum value and interest for the visitor of my sites. If a visitor likes what he/ she reads they will return. The more they return the more likely they are to purchase. Its as simple as that.

SUMMARIES AND FINDINGS: what the future holds.

Who knows what the future will hold with regard to Internet sales. The Internet itself is changing on a daily basis. Google still appears to be the champion but will that last? What I do believe will be important will be to recognize the key changes as they happen and to react to them. People's needs will change the way the web operates in that the Internet generally (though not always) reflects the demands and interests of the public. Sometimes the Internet will engineer a way of thinking or create something from nowhere that generates huge interest within the public itself.

There was a time before search engines, Ebay and iPods. Their time will end too and as a marketeer you have to move with it. Just do not ask me how! If I knew the answer to that or could predict it in some way I would not be writing this article I would be sunning myself on an exotic island with a bevy of beautiful women in tow! ( apologies to my wife).

Seriously I am currently content to keep this little venture ticking over in the healthy way that it currently is, build up more interest and try to sell things that will genuinely make a difference to them in a positive way.

MY PRODUCTS :affiliate linked

I chose a variety of products to promote on my websites. They are virtual products so there is no need to carry stock. No packing to do. No postage charges. My first website itself was bought from an affiliate product itself and it was their excellent package that inspired me to develop my own. All the tools were right there on the desktop ( no need to understand HTML ) to develop an individual site ready to trade that is mainly automated ( but which can easily be personalized ) and which has excellent support from its creators. They even provided optional hosting so you can brand your site with your own domain name, logo etc. There are probably many alternative companies out there offering similar services and I intend to research these for future projects. I would like to have even more control and a future goal is to develop the html knowledge to give me complete webmaster autonomy. I will report on my html experience in a future article. However, the system that I first bought into provided me with a great start.

Currently the automation provided gives me some security. The products appear like magic once you have vetted and selected them. I chose to select products that helped others primarily to take the plunge, just as I have done, to start there own Internet businesses. Most of the products are focused on achieving that goal for the buyers.

Some of my products relate to health issues: both body and mind -as I wanted to avoid developing a website which was solely business oriented and which placed money acquisition into a more rounded context of a philosophy of self improvement. For example one system available looks more deeply at the habits we develop that hinder or promote successful attitudes to personal development. It really gets you to analyze your own behavior and suggests ways that you can change it for the positive development of your life. Really thought provoking stuff that really can change you into a more proactive and confident person. Another key is to develop sites that caters for a particular niche. Articles and reviews can then be added which support them but they must be accurate, honest and informative. Such sites have a more cohesive, memorable image and this of course simplifies the marketing too.

Seeing that first sale come through though really does takes some beating when it first happens.

CONCLUSIONS:

My own sites continue to develop, they continue to make money - not huge amounts but a steady stream that keeps me positive and which inspires me to write articles like this. I still have a so much to learn and I continue to experiment with different marketing methods. Whilst the cynical may suggest that this story is itself just another marketing ploy, I can reassure you that it is not solely intended as such. I intend to expand my number of websites, make them less product oriented and develop more content based information that will prove of real use to any visitors. When this has been achieved I will scale down the advertising even more to only the most appropriate of products. I hope that this will enable a more targeted and user friendly experience. Now where can I find those html tutorials that I need?

Writing this article is for me an affirmation that my businesses are continuing to develop and that they can and will be successful for some time to come. It reminds me of my motives for developing websites in the first instance and reassures me that even a small part of them may be of use to others. I realize that I have a great deal to learn myself and that I have only scratched the surface of this subject. I am, however, a distance along the path now and hopefully in the right direction too!

I HOPE ESPECIALLY THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING WITHIN THIS ARTICLE THAT MAY HELP YOU TO DEVELOP YOUR OWN SUCCESSFUL WEB BASED BUSINESS AND THAT IF YOU DO THAT IT LEADS YOU TO GREATER FREEDOM, INCREASED PROSPERITY AND INNER FULFILLMENT.

My articles are always focused on subjects that I have experienced or am in the process of experiencing. I offer my views from this standpoint and do not purport to be an expert. I do hope though that a part or a whole of anything that I write may be of interest or help to others. If you wish to see how my business is developing please visit: [http://www.nocloudstoday.com] where you will find some of the products described earlier including my website developers details.

Thanks. Mal Braman

Autopilot Website And Cash Machine Program

Is there any such thing as a truly automated cash machine program? Is there a way for you to set a highly profitable website in motion and then allow it to do all the revenue generation for you? The answer is yes, but in order to get it to that point, you have to be aware of the fact that it takes a lot of work to get anything so efficient set in place. So roll up your sleeves and get ready to work if you want to build something that will take care of you over the long haul. Consider the following steps in your journey towards financial success:

1. Generate great content

There are ways for you to have excellent content on your website without doing any of the work yourself, but you are first going to need a content provider, who puts in the time for solid research and craftsmanship. Great content does not write itself, and the only way to get high rankings and keep them is if you have good evergreen content available to the masses that will be as compelling six years from now as it is six minutes from now. Once you have a steady stream of content, you have a place where people will want to come. A place that will encourage them to tell their friends and family.

2. Market site content to the right people

In order to be successful over the long haul, you have to do more than write or commission great content. You have to actually find the people, who would want to follow that content and tell their friends about it. It is getting easier these days to find said people, as long as you connect to the social networks and use the highly focused power of these tools to friend and follow individuals with which you have a lot in common. People who may stand to benefit greatly from whatever it is that you have to offer.

3. Behave with the search engines

There are still a lot of unscrupulous web based business people out there today who are using black hat marketing tactics to get their site noticed. Luckily, search engines are getting better and better at sorting out these individuals and keeping them from rising to the top. If you put in the time and effort to set up your autopilot website the right way, then you stand a much better chance of turning it into a cash machine program.

With all the ways to make money online, an autopilot website is one of the best possible ways to have at your advantage. As long as you have a quality product that brings benefits to people's lives, you'll be just fine.

3 Must-Have Affiliate Marketing Tools of A Successful Affiliate

Affiliate marketing tools are essential for an affiliate to succeed in making money online. Many experienced affiliates would subscribe to this idea especially when they start to see their business growing, and work done quicker and more efficiently and effectively when applying tools in their marketing efforts. Right here, we will talk about 3 must-have tools for affiliate marketing that all successful affiliates have.

These affiliate marketing tools are what separates a veteran from a newbie. Newbies would perhaps take an affiliate website and start buying traffic to promote it. They may occasionally make a sale or two but this never touched off as a proper business. Not so with the successful affiliates who would make use of proper tools to drive traffic, and to multiply and maximize their earnings.

Affiliate Marketing Tool 1 - Your Very Own Website

Many gurus would make bold claims on their sales pages that you do not even need a website to earn because they will be providing you with a ready one. Sounds good right? Well, it is great for them because as long as you are convinced that you do not need a website and only needs their affiliate site, you will be more inclined to work for them as their affiliates? Who wants to do hardwork? No one! So it is just plain gimmick to tell you that you do not need a website to succeed as an affiliate. With so many replicates out there, how can you stand out as an affiliate unless you have your very own website.

Spend some time to build a professional looking and clean HTML website. Make sure it is fast loading so that visitors do not click away. At the same time, you have to provide relevant and useful content that would be helpful to your visitors. The idea of providing quality content is to convince your readers that you know your subject well and to get them to trust you. At the appropriate time, include a sales pitch or product recommendation to presell your customers. By the time, he or she clicks to the sales page of the affiliate product, the chances of a purchase is much higher!

Websites that offer unique and quality content tend to enjoy high search engine rankings as well so that means a constant targeted stream of free traffic for you.

How To Create A Successful PPC Revenue Website

A website earning with PPC revenue is one of the best business models for an Internet business. This is because it's simple to understand and implement. You could be earning hundreds of dollars within a few short months if you do things right. I'm going to share a few valuable tips with you here so pay attention.

Here is a quick introduction to the PPC revenue model. Basically, you are trying to set up a website that earns from advertising revenues. You publish content on your site in an attempt to attract targeted traffic. Next, you place ads on your site. You don't earn money just by placing these ads. Instead, you make money when someone clicks on an ad. This is why it's called Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising. Advertisers pay you only when you send them targeted clicks. Here is a step by step guide on how to get started quickly.

Step 1: Pick something you like. Take this seriously and treat your sites as a genuine business. It's hard to be motivated to work on your sites if you are not interested in them. So it's important that you pick something that you are interested in. Also, do your research to ensure that you pick an active niche with lots of advertisers. Learn as much about the industry as possible. If you see many different products selling at profitable margins, that is a good sign.

Step 2: Publish quality content. When you are getting started, you will need to promote your website. Start by adding a handful of articles. Make sure that the articles are interesting to read and unique.

Step 3: Next, learn everything you can about traffic generation. Don't just stick to online marketing methods. Use word of mouth marketing as well. You need to be aggressive in marketing when you are just starting out so as to build up momentum. After 6 months or so, the site should pick up steam and make money on its own. But before it reaches that stage, you will need to work hard to promote your site.

If you are on a tight budget, I recommend using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to drive traffic to your site. SEO requires some effort upfront but if you can get your sites to rank, you will be receiving free traffic from the search engines.

Step 4: Master the art of ad placing. Don't just paste ads all over the site. Space them out so that the content still looks readable. You do not wish to chase your web visitors away. If they find your content difficult to read, they may never return. But that does not mean you hide your ads. Remember that if nobody clicks on ads, you earn nothing. So place the ads in visible spots, but make sure you space them out.

After your first website is successful, you can go on to start new sites and snowball your income. Sign up for a hosting plan that allows unlimited domains. You will then be able to create new sites without incurring additional costs.

5 Sure Fire Tips For Maximizing Your AdSense Profits

AdSense can be an easy place to start for earning an online income. But remember it is more than posting a bunch of articles, also known as content. To make yourself stand out from the crowd I would suggest creating a niche - a specific topic that has keyword traffic. For example, your niche can be on health, or weight loss, exercise, and the list goes on.

To follow are Five Sure Fire Tips for Maximizing Your Google AdSense Profits.

#1-Great Content
Your ideal Google AdSense page should have great content about a very specific topic. This topic would be your niche. Create a page that conveys a clear topic, and carefully select the keyword (or long tail key words) describing the topic. Users don't like vague pages filled with fluff. Be specific and give your readers a reason to stay on your site.

Overall you want to make sure the page you create provides great value to people interested in the topic. When you provide excellent information on a specific topic, your visitors will benefit and will increase your odds for visitors to click through to relevant AdWords.

#2-Vertical Ads
Every website has horizontal banner ads on the very top of the web page. People visiting websites have become "banner blind" to the horizontal format. As recommend by Google, the vertical format to display your AdWords is by far the better choice.

#3-Pictures
Recent marketing studies have shown that placing pictures beside, or above your ads can have a massive impact on click-through rates. Your visitors eye is immediately attracted to the picture. The eye follows the picture then to your ad.

#4-Color
Your Google AdWords should match the color and style of your web page. Check out other websites to see what the pros are doing. I have seen web pages designed with a color frame around the text paragraphs and using the same style of frame around the AdWords. All of the text and AdWords was blended together with one color.

#5-More Clicks
Hands off! Do not click on the AdWords displayed on your own site to increase your revenue. The same goes without saying about your friends clicking on you site. Google knows and tracks where your clicks are coming from. And in all honesty, it is better to earn a fair income and know if anybody is really visiting your website and clicking on your Google AdWords. Any fraud detected on your site may result in losing your AdWords account.

Finally, to get started with Google AdWords I would recommend researching keywords, niche marketing and view other websites to learn more about design techniques.

How To Skyrocket Your Adsense Revenue

Adsense is an advertising model created by Google which utilizes pay-per-click and pay-per-impression advertising which is beneficial to both advertisers and webmasters alike. For the advertiser Adsense is a very efficient way to get access to high volume targeted traffic by having their ads displayed on topically relevant sites. For the webmaster Adsense can be an extremely lucrative alternative-income source, or as many Adsense gurus have discovered, Google Adsense can well be your primary super-income source.

It's free to join Adsense and you'd be well advised to read Google's Adsense rules and policies. Google supplies excellent resources on The Dos and The Don'ts of Adsense as well as very comprehensive tutorials on how to set up and use Adsense. So for that reason this article will not go into the basics of Adsense but rather will give you tips on how to become an Adsense Expert and join the growing number of Adsense Gurus who are making mind-boggling amounts from Adsense!

Dress Your Ads For Success

1. Don't leave your ads looking like...well ads! Many Adsense users simply follow Google's default format settings to setup their ads. Big Mistake! If your ad looks like an ad people are generally going to ignore it. As for those banners... please! Nearly everybody online hates banners and avoids them like the plague. So don't make the mistake of thinking that visitors to your website will behave any differently to those Adsense banner ads you may have set up. Simply put...do without the Adsense banners if you want to cash in.

2. Optimal Placement of Your Ads. In the real world it's said that location...location...location is everything. Same thing goes for the web, at least as far as Adsense is concerned. If your ads are tucked away where no one can see them basically you aren't going to get any clicks. Think about it--when people go to a website the first thing they do is absorb as much information before ever scrolling. That part of the page they see without scrolling is called above the fold. That is where you want to put your ads. Remember easier seen means more clicks...which means more ka-ching!

More Is Less. The number of ads you've got above the fold will influence your visitors clicking habits. Google puts the top-paying ads topmost with the lower paying ones at the bottom. If you have a stack of ads all located above the fold those cheaper ads might steal attention away from the more profitable ones. So keep this in mind...more is not necessarily better as far as your Adsense revenue is concerned.

3. Wave Goodbye To That Border. So you've spent a lot of time putting up intelligent and useful content on a beautifully designed site...shame that you've got to tarnish such wondrous aesthetics with Adsense. But guess what...you don't have to! You can easily blend your ads in to compliment the overall layout of your site. First thing--Get rid of that border delineating your ads. Next, make your Adsense text the same colour as that of the rest of your site. People are more likely to click on it thinking it's part of that useful content on your site.

4. Text Ads versus Image Ads. And the winner by unanimous decision is (drum roll)...Text Ads! With the right formatting your text ads will blend in with your content. Text ads are also more flexible with respect to tweaking and positioning. Another thing about text ads, is that you can squeeze more of them in the space taken up by an image ad (banner). Text ads don't appear like clutter whereas banners do!

5. Keywords. The content on your web pages determines the Adsense ads that appear there. If your site does not have a specific theme then Google will gladly supply you with non-profit general service ads. So as you can see Content is Still King! Even so you can quite easily (and legitimately) influence the Adsense ads supplied to your site by strategically placing keywords in specific locations on your site without diluting your site's copy (text tailored towards a specific goal and written for your visitors).

These are just a few of the simple optimizer tweaks that Adsense Experts utilize to cash in big from Google Adsense. Remember that people generally need to be exposed to something at least seven times before they're comfortable enough to purchase it. So if you're an affiliate marketer or any kind of online seller (or for that matter as long as you have a site) why not put up Adsense on your site and make some easy revenue while your visitors familiarize themselves with what your site has to offer.

Finally if you really want to become an Adsense Guru who rakes in five-figure amounts every month, you need to understand what it takes to correctly design a site from scratch with the sole purpose of cashing in big from Adsense!

What Are the Most Profitable AdSense Topics?

Prominent in all AdSense newbie's mind is money. It's all about how much they're going to make and how quickly they're going to make it. This is the completely wrong approach to take towards AdSense, however, it is useful to know what kind of keywords gets the highest paying ads and what kind of topics are the most profitable.

During the process of planning an AdSense website it is essential to have all the necessary information at hand and it is important to have a good understanding of Google AdSense. AdSense is essentially the most popular Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising scheme on the web. By applying through Google you get subject related ads delivered to your site, which make you money a little money every time they are clicked.

So if you are aiming to create a website solely to make money using AdSense it is essential to know which topics are likely to make you the most money. But be warned... knowing this doesn't necessarily mean that they will make you money but more about this later.

There are many lists on the web displaying some of the highest paid AdSense keywords. Here's a compilation of some of the best lists showing the highest paying AdSense keywords:

Selling structured settlements - $64.81 (CPC)
Cash for structured settlements - $63.87 (CPC)
Auto insurance quotes Florida - $62.57 (CPC)
Auto insurance quotes California - $57.01 (CPC)
Consolidate school loans - $45.94 (CPC)
Mesothelioma Lawyers - $45.48 (CPC)
Best home equity loans - $45.14 (CPC)
*(CPC) Cost-Per-Click

We can see from this list some of the highest paying keywords are highly specific for subject and location. If you have no knowledge of selling structured settlements you are not going to have much success building a website based on the subject. Also it's highly unlikely that you will get these types of ads anyway, as most of them are only delivered to websites from certain to countries and regions. But the list does give you an indication of the type of keywords that get the highest paying ads.

There's another list showing the most profitable AdSense topics. These are general topics that get reasonable well paid ads but also gets much more clicks. They are sought after, popular topics that are more likely to get clicked rather than the specific ads of the highest paying keywords. Here's a list of the most profitable AdSense topics:

Insurance - $17.41(CPC), 49,893(Clicks/Day), $868,645(Cost/Day)

Hotels - $03.52(CPC), 200,636 (Clicks/Day), $706238(Cost/Day)

Films - $02.88(CPC), 183,044(Clicks/Day), $527,166(Cost/Day)

Home - $03.89(CPC), 102,282(Clicks/Day), $397,878(Cost/Day)

Cars - $05.09(CPC), 52,069(Clicks/Day), $265,033(Cost/Day)

Schools - $04.13(CPC), 60,913(Clicks/Day), $251,570(Cost/Day)

Credit - $08.67(CPC), 25,705(Clicks/Day), $222,862(Cost/Day)

Software - $03.23(CPC), 61,259(Clicks/Day), $197,868(Cost/Day)

Mortgage - $13.03(CPC), 12,172(Clicks/Day), $158,601(Cost/Day)

But what can we do with these lists? What do they really tell us?

The lists tells us that some Google AdSense ads pay very well per click but those that pay the most tend to be very specific and specialized. It also tells us that there are more general topics that are more profitable due to their popularity. But what it doesn't tell you about is the competition within these topics.

Having an idea of the competition is crucial for anyone hoping to make the best out of AdSense. This is because the essence of AdSense success is website traffic. Everyone with a vested interest in a particular topic is vying for every available traffic related to that theme. The more traffic you have going through your site, the more clicks you will get on your AdSense ads.

The problem with the list is that all the topics are already extremely saturated. There's a lot of competition within the topics for the best keywords and each topic has more than tens of thousands of sites already catering for them.

So even though insurance related sites get on average more than 49,000 clicks per day, these clicks are already shared out among the best established websites. If you decide to make an insurance related site you can only hope to get small amounts of residual traffic going through it. Insufficient amounts to make any decent money using AdSense.

There is a small benefit, however, in having these lists. It is possible through some hard work to pry out some truly lucrative AdSense niche keywords and themes within some of these general topics. If you have the patience, know-how and will you could discover some small gems contained within any one of these, popular general topics.
Knowing the most profitable AdSense topics doesn't mean that you will necessarily make money off them. It is possible, but extremely difficult to do so. For your site to draw adequate amounts of traffic it has to be unique, brilliant and very well marketed. It would probably have to be based on a niche theme within one of these topics and that would require days, if not weeks of initial research and planning.

To make the most out of AdSense, forget these lists. In many ways they are nothing more than distractions, fueling the profit seeking aspect of an AdSense venture and potentially destroying any possibility of success. The best AdSense sites are those that contain quality content-rich material that are created by passionate webmasters. Not those seeking quick AdSense riches.

How To Improve AdSense Revenue

This e-commerce article will help you make more money with Google AdSense and Yahoo Publishing Network. All information given below do not infringe any TOS of the respective service, of course.

First of all, PPC ads like those provided by AdSense or YPN are great ways to earn money online. Especially if you have got an established and content-rich website. AdSense ads are targeted ads, which means they fit to the site's content. Therefore it's likely they will meet the visitors' interests. This usually leads to a high click through ratio on AdSense ads compared to the CTR of normal non-targeted banner ads.

Now, how can you increase your AdSense earnings once you have placed the ads on your site? Don't worry, there is much you can do.

First, let's take a look at the factors which directly influence ad performances:

* unique visitors and page impressions

* CTR

* targeting

* CPC

You will increase your ppc revenue by improving one or more of the above factors.

1. Improving the website's traffic

By driving more visitors to your site you will probably increase the number of ad clicks, because there are more people who see the ads. In addition, if you can get more page impressions on your website you will also have more ad impressions which might result in higher ppc earnings.

Attracting more visitors can be achieved by optimizing your website for the search engines, but also by adding more high quality content and unique services to your site. Also, your site should have at least an "okay design", because your visitors will probably not go to your site again if it looks too terrific. In case you don't know how to do search engine optimization: I will write an article on this topic as well in the future.

Better traffic stats will increase the number of ad impressions. However, this does not mean you have got a higher CTR. The CTR could still be the same or even lower than before though, so you also need to improve another of the above factors.

2. How to get a higher CTR

There are many options you can choose to get a higher click ratio.

For instance, you have the possibility to change the ads themselves.

2.1 Ad Colors

In general you have two kinds of ad colors to choose from: ads that stand out and ads that blend in.

Both may have their positives and negatives, but all in all you need to experiment with those types of color palettes to see which works best with your site. In my personal experience (and what I have been told from most webmasters I have talked to) colors that blend in perform better. Others have experienced better click ratios from outstanding ad colors though, so this is something you really should try out yourself. Whatever option you choose, you should at least try your ads to fit to the website's design and color scheme though.

My personal tip is: Match the ad's text color with the color of your website's content's text color and match the link color of the ad with your site's link color.

2.2 Ad Placement

Another factor incluencing the CTR is the placement of your ad. AdSense ads should not be hidden from your visitors, but they should be visible at first sight. Again, there are still several places you can choose for your ads to appear.

Text ads seem to attract most clicks at the top or in the center of a website's content area. Especially on websites with much text content.

Do you already know the so-called "heat map" by Google? It illustrates profitable ad placements on an example site layout. The fields which are colored dark orange experience the best performance while those fields with a brighter color do not perform that well.

Anyway, the heat map is only a tip for you. It's based on Google's researches from many different websites with AdSense ads, but the heat map possibly does not show the perfect ad placement area for your own site. So - again - it's up to you to try where on your website ads work best.

To give you a direction: On sites with an article, ads which are placed directly below the article seem to do quite well. In addition, you should also place an ad above the article, so people can click on it at the top and at the bottom of the page.

Important is that ads are placed where the user's eyes are likely to focus on them. You should also try to place the ads throughout your whole site, because this adds variety across your site and users have more selection. Also, more ads mean more revenue, in my experience.

In case you're running a forum please pay attention to the "AdSense on Forums" section below. There I will discuss the specific placement criteria for forums.

2.3 Ad Format

The third way to improve ad performance is to choose another ad format. AdSense provides you with many different ad formats.

In general, wide formats seem to perform better than narrow formats. This is because people can read more words at a time without having to skip a line. I've experienced that the 336×280 large rectangle, the 250×250 square and the 160×600 wide skyscraper have done best on my sites. These are quite big ad formats, of course, so they need lots of space, but if they're placed well they usually generate more income than the smaller and narrow ad formats.

Another good format is the wide 728×90 leaderboard, which does best under the editorial content of a web page or directly under the page header, in my experience. The 468×60 banner format does not convert that well, but it can still be placed in areas where there isn't much space available, i.e. directly in the page header (next to the logo) or within articles.

3. Targeting

The targeting of ppc ads is very important, because targeted ads perform much better than untargeted banners. Therefore you should make sure all ads on your website show targeted ads which fit to your site's content. This will increase the CTR of the ads and also result in a better branding of your site, because people only find content and links that fit to your site's topic.

Many webmaster have problems with ads that don't show proper text links. Anyway, it's quite easy to target ppc ads.

The first you should do is to control whether the site has enough content. The more text content there is the faster and more accurate your ads will be targeted by Google's bots. So you should add additional content to your site to get better ads.

If you still don't get advertising links that fit to your site's content and thus to your visitors' interests, you should implement section targeting.

Section targeting is a very useful tool to help Google find the best ads for your site. It allows you to suggest sections of your text content that you'd like Google to emphasize when matching ads to your site's content.

You can implement section targeting by adding special HTML comments to your site's HTML code.

The HTML tags to emphasize a page section take the following format:

If you want Google to ignore specific sections of your site when targeting ads you need to use the following comment tag:

Here's an example of how your site's code should look like after implementing section targeting:

Your Site's Title

This is text content of your web page.

This is the text which you want Google to emphasize when targeting ads.

Here might also be some content.

Please keep in mind a significant amount of content should be placed within the section targeting tags, because insufficient content might result in less relevant ads to appear on your site. Also, it is against Google's TOS to use ad targeting to display ads which don't fit to your site's content, so you only may use section targeting to emphasize content sections of your site which include proper content.

Another way to improve ad targeting for your site is to emphasize specific terms by making them bold ( or ) or making them a heading ( or ). Google will pay special attention to emphasized terms and phrases within your web page.

4. CPC

The fourth way to improve your total advertising income is to get a higher cost per click on ads displayed on your site. But how to increase the CPC?

First of all, you should do some research on different keywords which fit to your site's topic. Go to Google and perform searches for these keywords. The more AdWords ads appear in the right bar of Google's search results the likelier it is that ads for the regarding keyword have got a higher CPC. In addition, you can take advantage of Overture's Bidtool to determine which keywords pay well in terms of PPC advertising. Although the Overture tool is a direct indicator for the YPN, you can still use it to get a good idea of the keywords' click prices.

Now that you know which keywords AdSense should display ads for on your site the only thing you need to do is to target ads for the keyword(s) you have chosen. You can do this by adding additional and targeted content and by emphasizing words or complete sections of your web page, as explained above.

5. Google Search Box

AdSense also offers the possibility to implement Google Search into your website. Google Search is a useful service for your users, it can search either your site or the whole Internet. The search results pages can be customized to fit with your site's theme, and you'll be paid for every valid click on the ads that appear. The search box is also great to earn money from visitors who did not find what they were looking for on your site, because the search box allows them to search exactly for what they have been looking for and it will display ads that are targeted based on the keyword(s) they search for.

So the Google Search Box can earn you some extra money. You should not expect too much from the search box though. I have only been able to increase income by 1 to 3 per cent through Google Search.

6. Optimization tips for forums

While I have already written much about placing ads on "usual" websites here are some tips on how to make more money from PPC ads displayed within forums:

Ad Format & Placement

160×600 Skyscraper ads placed above the fold on the left side of your forum seem to perform very well. However, you should also place a 728×90 leaderboard ad below the forum's header. The combination of these two ad formats works well and results in a high CTR, in my experience.

This can also be seen in Google's Heat Map and I can only confirm the ad placements suggested by the heat map.

In addition, you should also place an ad between the first and the second post of the threads in the forum. There already exists a script for vBulletin which automatically displays PPC ads in this place. You should integrate this script to your forum to improve PPC income.

Above I have written that a leaderboard ad directly below the editorial content would work fine. This suggestion also works with forums. Therefore it is a good idea to place a leaderboard ad directly below the last post of the thread, because user's who read the whole thread might be looking for the next link to click on - and what's a better link than a targeted ppc link?

Anyway, this would require you to remove the leaderboard ad below the forum's header, because you may only display 3 AdSense ads per page. I would recommend to do so, because the leaderboard ad at the bottom of the page seems to perform better than the ad below the header, in my experience (and against Google's heat map). Instead, I would place one of Google's horizontal link units below the header (a link unit may be placed as an additional ad, so you can display more than 3 ads per page).

Over all you should try to use ads that blend in, because people spend lots of time in forums and the forum design should not be disrupted by outstanding ad colors.

Google's Search Box can also be implemented into your forum. I'd suggest to place it directly in the forum's search tool. For instance, dnforum.com offers its members to use both the forum's and Google's site search.

Well, that's it. I think I've written everything which came up to my mind at the moment.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this article and at least some of the above information will be useful for you.

Thank you.
